Volunteers Sign-Up Form!

Y-S Unity Volunteer Opportunities Available

Would you like to have fun while making a positive change in the community? Please contact us if you have an interest in volunteering to serve in any of the following Board positions: secretary; entertainment coordinator; archivist; or member-at-large.

To strive for the Board team having diverse representation, we urge men, women, seniors, heterosexual supporters, transgenders, the intersex, and people of all walks of life to apply.

Board candidates must meet the following criteria:

- Willing to accept all risks and consequences associated with being a member of a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) group
- Honest, loyal and professional
- Able to handle stress
- Committed and has the time to volunteer (routine two hour meetings plus regularly help out at events)

We are seeking commitments of six to twelve months. We will then schedule a meeting with you to discuss the matter further.

Want to Host a YSU Event?

Would you like to host one of these events, or a men's or woman's night, or a movie night? You set the rules and YSU makes it happen. You too can have a fun filled event at your home or venue. TWO EASY WAYS YOU CAN HELP YSU

1) Volunteer to help out at events Helping out in the following areas is always appreciated: errand runners; music dj; photography; set up & tear down; typing; web assistance. If you are available to volunteer, please call YSU President Jeffrey Girard at (530) 329-3501.

2) Make a non-tax-deductible donation Because YSU is not a nonprofit group, donations to YSU are not tax-deductible. If you are able to help, we could use the following donations: Staples gift card; Walgreen's gift card to help YSU pay for photo developing. Donations to YSU are NOT tax-deductible, but are extremely appreciated and help us do the work we do.

Yuba-Sutter Unity (YSU) is growing stronger and stronger each day. Right now we have 500+ LGBTI people and supporters within our contact databases. WE NEED YOUR HELP with arranging activities, hosting events, entertaining, helping administratively, etc. Volunteering can include incorporating not only your talents and skills – but also your interests into YSP activities.
